Skills and Attributes
The following skills will affect this combat art:
- Devout Offense Lore - improves combat art damage, critical chance and casting speed, allows for modification points.
- Devout Offense Focus - reduces regeneration time and allows for higher level combat art without penalty, allows for modification points.
- Any weapon lore applicable to the weapon in use (for example, Sword Lore when the Paladin is wielding a sword), will increase Blessed Hammer's chance to hit by increasing the attack rating. Weapon lore skills won't affect Blessed Hammer in any other way however.
- Speed Lore - will increase its chance to hit indirectly by increasing a player's attack rating.
- Concentration - directly improves regeneration time.
- Combat Discipline - will lower its regeneration time if it is placed in a combo.
- Damage Lore - will improve the chance, duration, and strength of any secondary damage effects triggered by Blessed Hammer.
The following attributes will affect this combat art:
- Strength will increase damage for melee weapons, and chance to hit.
- Dexterity will increase damage for ranged weapons (and some melee weapons), and chance to hit.
- Intelligence will increase damage for magic staves and wands.
- Stamina will lower regeneration time.
- Willpower will increase damage for Lightsabers.
Usage Strategies
- Blessed Hammer uses weapon damage and carries all weapon effects such as life leech, regeneration per hit, and deadly strike.
- A weapon lore is not really necessary because Blessed Hammer uses casting speed instead of attack speed.
- Player attack rating applies to Blessed Hammer so it can miss. Modifiers like Chance opponents cannot evade attacks and Opponent's chance to evade are useful. Blessed Hammer also has large, scaling attack bonus just like weapon-based combat arts.
- Silver Mods: The racial damage bonuses against Undead and T-Mutants apply to bosses and superuniques as well.
- Gold Mods: Furnace will have a good synergy with the Holy Fire buff.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- The power of melee weapons but usable at ranged distance.
- No need to take a weapon lore skill.
Cons
- Single-target only.
