Skills and Attributes
The following skills will affect this combat art:
- Tactics Lore - increases the damage bonus, and allows for modification points.
- Sublime Combat Focus - reduces regeneration time penalty and allows for higher level combat art without penalty, allows for modification points.
- Any weapon lore (such as Sword Weapons when the Paladin is wielding a sword) - will increase this buff's casting speed.
- Concentration - will lower this buff's regeneration time penalty.
- Combat Discipline - will increase its damage bonus.
The following attributes will affect this combat art:
- Intelligence will increase the damage and spell intensity
- Stamina will lower regeneration time penalty.
Usage Strategies
- This is primarily a weapon-user's buff (and a premium one at that), but a pure spellcaster can squeeze a little bit of usefulness from it with its base Casting Speed boost, Ardor/Spirit silver mod, and Defiance gold mod.
- Note that, like all CA's in the Sublime Combat aspect, casting speed of this buff is determined by weapon speed, and can be boosted by weapon lore skills and +% attack speed. Likewise, the casting speed will be penalized by wielding a weapon with too high a level.
- Fanaticism can affect allies. Read the Note About Party Buffs to learn how to avoid a glitch in the base game where buff effects stack infinitely upward.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Extremely useful effects for any weapon-using Paladin
- Boosts power of party members and allied units
Cons
- Damage boost applies only to weapons
- During multiplayer, Paladin must turn off buff before teleporting to party members or reassembling the party, and recast it afterward (to avoid glitching party stats).
