Quest Objective: Help Ambul complete the ritual Quest Difficulty: 2 stars Quest Giver: Ambul Location(s): Winery southeast of Twainbrook and southwest of High Elf Outpost 2 Prerequisite Quest: A Sample of Rock Next Quest: None Reward: Quick Walkthrough Talk to Ambul. Escort Ambul to the ruins. Talk to the Apparition. Kill Ambul and 5 Apparitions. Detailed Walkthrough Talk to Ambul to have him join you. Although this is an ‘escort’ quest, Ambul is, to all intents and purposes, invincible on the way to the ritual site. Unfortunately he will run to the NPC teleport limit (the distance from the PC at which they are automatically returned to the PC’s side) in order to find enemies to fight...and then bring them all back to you. Head north from the winery to the ruins where the ritual took place (see map below). If you are level 8 or higher I would recommend just running to the ruins and then dealing with the enemies in the immediate vicinity as this will cut down on Ambul's ability to swamp you with enemies as you travel. If you are under level 8 I would recommend travelling very slowly so that Ambul doesn’t succeed in his attempts to kill you. Talk to the Apparition to get the first hint that Ambul hasn’t been entirely honest... ...the second hint is that Ambul now stops being your friend and becomes an enemy. At this point Ambul's aggressive tendencies can backfire on him, as he stops being invincible, and Kobolds may kill him before you can – don’t worry, whoever kills him it still counts in the quest log. Kill the five Apparition's in and around the ruins to complete the quest. Logbook Entry Notes Bug: Some of the information for the second part of the chain is incorrectly listed under the log entry for the first part of the chain (killing Ambul and the Apparitions, and the last part of the quest text) Bug: An incorrect 'quest complete' message may appear before you carry out all the quest steps; this should be ignored. The 'quest complete' message will appear (again) once all the quest steps are complete
