Sacred 2:Among Orcs - Shadow Campaign
Quick Walkthrough
Detailed WalkthroughThis quest is started by talking to the Ore-Thag Warrior, at "The place where magic flows from the earth", just south of Ruka (there is a waypoint there, worth grabbing). After talking to him, he will tell you that orcs care not about feeble humans. I will have to prove my worth to this primitive substitute for a living creature. Run into the fogged pits, and find 5 boss-type earth elementals to battle. After you kill them, return to the Ore-Thag warrior, who will now speak to you. He will tell you to go to the Orc elder, a wise woman. She is surrounded by representatives of both the Orcish clans, and she will decide your faith. The Orc Elder decides that as you are clearly a bloodthirsty person who like killing so much you should travel with the Ore-Thag clan as a member of the clan and tells you to go contact the nearby orcs who are now your new clan members. On the way back to the first Ore-Thag warrior you spoke to there are two Ore-Thag Hunters and Ore-Thag Warriors, talk to the leader with the ?! over his head. The leader says that it is remarkable that you are their first brother-in-arms who is not of orc origin and that you need to prove your worth before you will be trusted enough to meet the clan leader. Their test is to deal with (kill) another clan who insulted the Ore-Thag clan. First however, they suggest that you go speak with their spy in the village north of where you are (Ruka). The Orc Spy Garappak will be in a building on his own, speak to him for the next part of the quest. Garappak simply repeats the details of what the previous orc told you, anyone who insults the Ore-Thag clan deserves to die and it is your job to see that threat through this time. He tells you that the insulting clan is to the north and finishes with "May the sword be with you!" Head north to the next quest marker where you will find two Grurag Warriors and Grurag hunter, kill them and then return to Ruka using the portal if you collected it whilst there, otherwise walk back and talk to the orc spy Garappak again. When you speak to Garappak again he tells you that some Ore-Thag clan members have been captured and to free them you must kill the Ore-Thag leader who has entrenched himself on a hill nearby. So head for the hills north of Ruka and west of where you killed the 3 grurag orcs previously. The spy Garappak will accompany you on the way. At the top of the hill you will find the chieftain and two members of his personal guard. Kill them and follow the path at the bottom of the hill around to the next town and speak to Gobklaw. Outside the gates to the town which you are heading for a pitched battle is going on between Ore-Thag and Grurag orcs, help your brothers finish of the Grurag foes. Than, continue on in to speak to Gobklaw. Gobklaw congratulates you on your efforts and rewards you by telling you he will take you to see the Ore-Thag leader. You then have to travel all the way across the orc lands to the town of Za'Zuruik. The easiest way is to use the portal to get back to Ruka and then follow the road almost directly west. Once there, enter the town and speak to the chieftain Zlop-Tok. He tells you a truce has been called between the clans as they face a common enemy, the Octogolamus, but that is the objective of the next quest in the Shadow Campaign, Wet Danger.
Logbook Entry
Several Orc clans are at feud with each other, and lately the Ore-Thag-Clan has gained the upper hand. He told me to find the leader of that clan and offer to help him win. In return, once the Orcs are unified, the Grand Inquisitor will call upon the support of the Ore-Thag Clan in our battles to come. He also told me something about a lost Elven delegation. He wants me to find them and learn what they know about magic leaks in the Orc regions. I arrived at the place where 'the magic flows from the earth." These idiots use it as some sort of testing ground where young Orcs prove they can fight. I'll play along and kill some of the Earth Elementals - maybe it will help them accept me. OK, fine, I killed a bunch of the big scary monsters. Maybe if I talk to the Orc again he'll admit me into their club. The Orc was impressed. He passed me up the line to some old bat who seems to be in charge around here. The Orc Elder was a senile old crone who claimed I should travel with the Ore-Thag Clan because I like killing so much. What a moron! At least I'll have someone to watch my back in the Gods-forsaken country - unless I decide to kill them all first. One of them said their clan leader lives far away, and I have to prove myself before they'll even take me to see him. Typical clan idiocy. Anyway, some Orcs of the Grurag Clan insulted my new best friends and they want me to avenge their honor. They've got a spy in the offending village, so I'm off to go wreak some havoc. I got to the village and found the Orc spy. He told me where to find the Orcs of the Grurag Clan who insulted "my" clan's honor. The sooner I kill them, the sooner I can put these dimwits behind me. Ok, Lotsa dead Orcs. Time to get back to the spy and see if there are any other hoops I have to jump through for these morons. Lovely. Some of my genius clanmates blundered into a village and got captured. The rest of our side are attacking the village, but the leader of the bad guys isn't even there! He's directing the battle from a hill outside the village. What's the old saying, "cut off the head, and the snake dies"? Time for me to do a little head hunting. The Grurag Clan leader has been defeated. Now I must go down into the village and free the clan brothers. I'm finally making some progress with these pinheads. The Orcs of the Ore-Thag Clan are free, the enemy leader is dead, and I've earned a trip to see our exalted clanleader, who I hope is brighter than the average melon. Hi-ho, Hi-ho - it's off to Orc I go! Notes
