Alexander is located midway on the main road between Dragonmaw Pass and Griffinborough. Alexander is overcome with grief with the loss of his cat Oscar. Oscar has run into a cave and hasn't come back out and Alexander is too scared to enter. Can't blame him, most caves aren't very hospitable. But as you are a brave and fearless warrior you head right in.......to trap.....Alexander set you up! That little miscreant !! Seems he's hanging out with some bandits and he's leading them into the cave so they can rob the hapless traveler.
Well the bandits are no match for you and you quickly overwhelm them. To your surprise Oscar is actually there. Kid was telling the truth about one thing. He doesn't want to go back to school but what else can you really do with him? Having Alexander following you around isn't much better than him being with the bandits. Only solution is to bring Alexander back to school. So you head to Griffinborough to meet up with the teacher.
The teacher takes him back into her class and poor Alexander will be working by candlelight for a while. He's got some homework to catch up on after his unauthorized adventure. Least he's safe and sound now if not too happy.

- Alexander is immortal. So need to worry about his health as you travel to Griffinborough.
