This Combat Art is a (Buff) The Assassin trained in this discipline has the ability to project a powerful shadow avatar of himself. Aspect - Shadow Disciplines Innate Abilities (Lvl 1) Shadow Master inflicts Physical damage Has a chance to inflict any of the other damage types based on the random fist weapon he spawns with Shadow Master has a wide array of offensive and defensive bonuses (see Bonuses below) Shadow Master uses Assassin combat arts (see Usage Strategies below) Regeneration Time of all Combat Arts: +40% Modifications See also: Sacred 2:Combat Art Modifications Bronze Furtive - The Shadow Master gains increased attack and defense (25% + 5% per level). Flow - Significantly boosts the Shadow Master's hitpoint regeneration. Silver Furtive - The Shadow Master gains increased attack and defense (25% + 5% per level). Sharpened Blade - Increases the Shadow Master's physical weapon damage by 15 + 10 per level. Gold Durable - Provides the Shadow Master with armor resistance of all types (7.5 + 5.5 per level). Sentry - The Assassin gains a boost to his armor resistances (20% + 5% per level).

Skills and Attributes

The following skills will affect this combat art:

• Shadow Disciplines Lore - increases the armor values from the Durable modification, improves casting speed, allows for modification points.

• Shadow Disciplines Focus - reduces regeneration time penalty and allows for higher level combat art without penalty, allows for modification points.

• Concentration - directly improves regeneration time penalty.

The following attributes will affect this combat art:

• Stamina will lower regeneration time penalty.

Usage Strategies

• The Shadow Master likes to use the Assassin's combat arts from the Martial Arts aspect: Tiger Strike, Fists of Fire, Claws of Thunder, and Dragon Flight. He will also use Psychic Hammer and Mind Blast.

• The Shadow Master will use his claw weapon while his combat arts regenerate.

• The Shadow Master can be destroyed. If his hitpoints are depleted he will explode into mechanical parts, and the buff will have to be recast to summon him again.

• The gold mods give the Assassin the choice of boosting his own armor values or those of the Shadow Master. A selfish Assassin will probably want to take Sentry unless the Shadow Master is having severe problems with survivability, in which case take Durable. Shadow Disciplines Lore will boost the armor values from Durable.
