Design Notes
- Ancient religions connected the sun with the powerful gods and people believed that its light dispels harmful influences just as it chases away the darkness. Not surprising that in many legends the evil spirits and creatures are afraid of sunlight. At high noon the sun stays directly overhead, sending down its most intense rays and shortening the shadows so much they seem to disappear entirely. At the same time, for more grounded people, noon (or times close to it) is a time for a lunch break.
