Sacred 2:Lightning

This spell allows a Sorceress to summon the very power of the heavens and emit a tremendous surge of electrical energy. Creating a channel of lightning directed at her target, she cuts a swath through her opponents with pinpoint accuracy. This is a Spell Damage Based Combat Art. Aspect - Lightning Spells Innate Abilities (Lvl 1) Total Damage: 45-45 (35 Magic, 10 Physical) Chance for Weaken: 40% + 0.4% per level Regeneration Time: 5.1 seconds Modifications See also: Sacred 2:Combat Art Modifications Bronze Heavy Damage - Increases the damage of Lightning by 50%. Chain Lightning - The Lightning bounces to 2 additional opponents. Silver Heavy Damage - Increases the damage of Lightning by 50%. Chain Lightning - The Lightning bounces to 2 additional opponents. Gold Explosion - Adds a 50% chance to damage additional opponents in the vicinity of the target. Critical - Increases the chance to land critical hits by 20.9% + 0.1% per level.

Skills and Attributes

The following skills will affect this combat art:

• Lightning Spells Lore - improves combat art damage, critical chance and casting speed, allows for modification points.

• Lightning Spells Focus - reduces regeneration time and allows for higher level combat art without penalty, allows for modification points.

• Concentration - directly improves regeneration time

• Ancient Magic - directly improves combat art damage and lowers opponents' resistance to its damage

• Combat Discipline - will increase the damage of this combat art and lower its regeneration time if it is placed in a combo.

• Damage Lore - will improve the chance, duration, and strength of Weaken (secondary damage effect) triggered by Lightning's magic damage.

The following attributes will affect this combat art:

• Intelligence will increase its damage and spell intensity

• Stamina will lower regeneration time

Usage Strategies

• Modding for single-target heavy damage: Heavy Damage - Heavy Damage - Critical
• Modding for max crowd control and area of effect (AoE) damage: Chain Lightning - Chain Lightning - Explosion
• Or mix and match the modifications to get the desired mix of damage and area of effect.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• Reduction of enemy stats from Weaken will cause them to be increasingly vulnerable to subsequent attacks.
• Works very well in clustered groups of enemies if modded correctly.

Cons

• Not a true AoE, as it requires at least 2-3 enemies in a bunch for its full damage potential. A single monster will not be affected by AoE damage and will not result in a Chain.
