After talking to Old Lebbart about why Spirli's crops are failing, you find out his land used to be a cemetery. Lebbart is pretty sure it's the old spirits of the dead that are causing the crops to rot. You talk to Rufus about it and and he agrees. He gives you a 'potion of cleansing' to pour over Spirli's lands. As soon as you do some ghosts emerge from the ground! Looks like Old Lebbart was right.
