After watching his father, Baron DeMordrey slain before his eyes, he has no stomach to cross swords with you. Or maybe he's just smarter. He quickly surrenders and give you a key to the cellar vault. He promises that you will find what you are looking for there. He just wants to live, so he's most cooperative.
