This Combat Art is a (Buff) The harsh grasslands of their homeland offer the Barbarian people little refuge from the elements. Constant prolonged exposure to the sun, wind, rain and other elements has toughened their skin to the resilience of natural leather. Aspect - Tactical Warfare Innate Abilities (Lvl 1) Base Defense Rating: 20 + 25 per level Chance to Block Ranged Attacks: 32.5% Physical Resistance Bonus: 15 + 15 per level Regeneration Time of all Combat Arts: +39.6% Modifications See also: Sacred 2:Combat Art Modifications Bronze Tough - Further increases the Barbarian's base defense rating by 100 + 75 per level. Ward - Adds a chance to block spell damage (30% + 0.5% per level). Silver Unstoppable - Decreases the impact and duration of incoming detrimental magic effects by 10% + 2% per level. Backbone - Further increases the Barbarian's physical resistance by 8 + 5 per level. Gold Backlash - Adds a chance to reflect melee damage (25% + 0.4% per level). True Grit - Lowers the regeneration penalty of Iron Skin by 25%.

Skills and Attributes

The following skills will affect this combat art:

• Tactics Lore - increases physical resistance value and allows for modification points.

• Tactical Warfare Focus - reduces regeneration time and allows for higher level combat art without penalty, allows for modification points.

• The appropriate Weapon lore (such as Hafted Weapons when the Barbarian is wielding an axe) - will increase the casting speed.

• Concentration - will lower this combat art's regeneration time penalty.

• Armor Lore - will indirectly increase the physical resistance bonus by a percentage (after it is added to the player's other sources of armor).

The following attributes will affect this combat art:

• Stamina will lower regeneration time

Usage Strategies

• Iron Skin is a very useful defensive buff because it increases base physical resistance and base defense, which can then be increased by other buffs, skills, and items which increase these values by a percent.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• With Ward and Backlash mods this buff can defend against all three types of enemy attacks. The various block and reflect chances have diminishing returns as they level up, however they may still reach upwards of 60% at high levels.
