You finally catch up to Barthus in Bluestonbury. He and his gang attack you but they don't offer much of a challenge. After a good beating he tells you that they did rough up Sage Njari and a dragon mage named Varmin was the one that hired them. Last he heard, Varmin had fled to Wargels in the Human region.
