Detailed Walkthrough
You have decided to spend some days in Griffinborough and take the opportunity to buy some supplies for you travels, as well as rest as much as possible. But in the middle of your tasks in the city you presence a brawl next to the Flying Dutchman tavern. You decide to step in and impose peace. It seems that Borrower Joshua owes some money to Moneylender Rikal, and the guy doesn't have any money to pay his debt. As Joshua only owes 100 gold coins you decide to pay his debt yourself and put end to the problem for a small sum.
| ||
After the brawl finishes you speak with Joshua, who warns that a lot of people in the city owe money to that guy, and probably the moneylender's thugs are in the way to his neighbor's home. He explains that not everybody is able to pay, and that cases are resolved by the moneylender with his thugs' brute force.
| ||
| ||
You decide to hurry and arrive just in time of another brawl at Theodore's house. His wife Thea also owes some money to the moneylender, but her case smells really bad; it seems this guy is not playing a fair game with this poor people, but doing dirty business at their expense.
The woman owed some cloth in order to sew some dresses for selling them at the market, but the cloth quality was unacceptable and she couldn't sell any dress, so there's no money to pay. The Moneylender's thugs immediately attack the woman, and you decide to stop this fraud and you teach a lesson to the villains.
| ||
| ||
| ||
Theodore, Thea's husband, gives you thanks for saving his wife. He also explains how the city authorities are making blind eyes to the Moneylender's business, and they leave the poor people to their fate here. He also tells you where the Moneylender can be found in the city, so you might try to stop him and finish his dirty business in the city.
| ||
| ||
You walk to the Moneylender's house, and you find there several thugs -confirming his unfair way of doing things- as well as a misterious inquisitor. Things are becoming more and more interesting...
| ||
| ||
| ||
The inquisitor Dalamar asks you to get away and not interfere in their business in the city, and asks Rikal and his thugs to teach you the lesson; then he leaves the place. As long as he leaves the house you are attacked by all of them, and after a big fight you have killed Rikal and his thugs.
| ||
Inquisitor Dalamar said he would be at the Temple of Gods outside of the city. It will be a good chance to put end to this, as it seems this inquisitor is responsible of the fraud with the money lending business.
| ||
| ||
At the temple you face Inquisitor Dalamar, but you will have to be careful because he's with several Inquisition Guards and other Guardsmen. Despite the danger of the situation you stand defiantly, and you are attacked almost immediately.
| ||
The battle is through, but you are finally victorious and the poor people of Griffinborough will not have to deal with such dirty people any more... at least for a while!
