Even though Shaddar himself had built the tower, he did not recall how far it extended into the underworld. It was only when he arrived in the Depths of Death after his long journey that he found the basement of his tower standing there. He lifted his eyes and saw the walls extending beyond the stone-crafted dome that arched over the Depths of Death and Shaddar knew that up there stood the rest of his tower — protruding into the upperworld.
