Important: Please download and install the latest available patch from the official website.
Important Product Activation setting changes:
- The Product Activation settings have been changed to 4 activations within 3 months, starting from the first activation. This means, you can activate 'Sacred 2: Fallen Angel' 4 times within 3 months and after this period, a new period with 4 activations within 3 months starts. The same activation limits apply for the add-on 'Sacred 2: Ice & Blood'.

Too many activations
I get the error message: 'Too many activations on different PCs or too many reactivations on the same PC have been performed...'
Please run the revoke tool from the following website and execute it on the PC where you have activated 'Sacred 2: Fallen Angel' before: http://download.securom.com/support/sacred2/revokes2.zip
Activation key not found
I get the error message: 'The activation key was not found in the database'
Please make sure that you don't use the activation key from 'Sacred 2: Ice & Blood'. Another problem with serial numbers is mistyping. Double check the characters you have entered. To help identify each character of the serial number correctly, please see common misinterpretations:
- Digit 'Zero' and 'O' (like 'Oscar')
- Digit 'One' and 'I' (like 'India')
- Digit 'Two' and 'Z' (like 'Zulu')
- Digit 'Eight' and 'B' (like 'Bravo')
- Include all hyphen ('-') as shown in the serial number
If this does not solve your issue, please send us a picture of your serial number.
No proper connection
I get the error message: 'No proper connection could be made with the activation server.'
If you are having problems activating your game you can also visit our manual unlock website http://unlock.sacred2.com to generate an unlock code yourself and activate your game manually.
Can't create account or login
I cannot create an online account or login to an existing one.
Please contact the software publisher regarding this issue because SecuROM™ is not responsible for the online account administration.

Invalid serial
I get the error message: 'The serial you entered is invalid'
This error message can appear in case you use the Windows Compatibility mode (e.g. Windows XP Mode in Windows 7).
Please perform the following steps:
- Ensure that 'Sacred 2: Fallen Angel' and 'Sacred 2: Ice & Blood' have been installed on your Windows PC.
- Ensure that your Windows User Account has administrator privileges
- Run the 'Sacred 2: Fallen Angel' revoke tool:
To run the update, please perform the following steps:
- Please click on this link to download the SecuROM™ Diagnostic Tool, which will assist you in this update process: http://download.securom.com/support/srdiag.zip
- Unpack the downloaded zip archive to a temporary folder
- Double-click the setup.exe and follow the installation instructions
- Start the SecuROM™ Diagnostic Tool (default: Start --> Programs --> SecuROM™ --> Diagnostic Tool --> Diagnostic Tool)
- Choose the location where 'Sacred 2: Fallen Angel' is installed (e.g. default: c:\Program Files (x86)\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\system\sacred2.exe)
- Carefully read the instructions of the SecuROM™ Diagnostic Tool, and follow the instructions
- In case an Online Activation Dialog comes up, please select 'cancel'
- After the update process the SecuROM™ Diagnostic Tool will ask if the application should be started now, please select 'no'
To configure 'Sacred 2' for Windows XP Compatibility Mode:
- Go to the folder where you installed 'Sacred 2: Fallen Angel' (e.g. default: c:\Program Files (x86)\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\system\sacred2.exe)
- Right-click the file 'sacred2.exe'; and choose 'Properties'
- Choose the tab 'Compatibility';
- Enable the checkbox 'Run this program in compatibility mode for'
- Select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 3)' and press 'OK'
To complete the activation process:
- Start the game
- Follow the on-screen instructions to activate both 'Sacred 2: Fallen Angel' and 'Sacred 2: Ice & Blood'. Please take care that you have the correct, individual serial numbers for each package 'Sacred 2: Fallen Angel' and 'Sacred 2: Ice & Blood' at hand. In case you get an error that the serial number was used too often, please get in touch with the SecuROM™ support and provide us your serial number.
- The game should now start
Cannot Activate
I cannot activate 'Sacred 2: Ice & Blood'
You can run a manual unlock. Note: you need some PC / other device connected to the Internet.
- Please download, extract and execute the Standalone Activation Tool: http://download.securom.com/support/sacred2/sacred2dfa.zip
- Click on 'Manual activation' button
- Insert your Serial number
- Choose where to save the Unlock Request file (for example, your Desktop)
- Next, open a browser and go to: https://support.securom.com/DFAunlock/
- Click on 'Browse' and located the path to the 'ActivationRequest.dfa' file. Also enter your Serial number, as well as the security code on screen, and press the 'Submit Query' button
- Next, download the 'ActivationResponse.lic' file (for example, your Desktop)
- Return to the activation dialog and browse to the 'ActivationResponse.lic' file you've stored in step 7, and press the 'Activate' button
- You will get a success message
Please note: Release Candidates and beta versions of Windows 7 are known to have issues with this workaround. We do not give support for these versions of the operating system. Please upgrade to the final version of Windows 7 if you experience any issues with the activation.
