Quick Walkthrough Talk to Chuck Latbar in Sloeford. Kill 25 Kobolds near Sloeford. Collect the heads of the Kobolds you killed. Walk back to Chuck Latbar and receive some Experience. Detailed Walkthrough

Though according to logbook, this story is considered one quest, actually Chuck Latbar would have two tasks for your character.

Part one: Slay Kobolds
While walking through the streets of Sloeford, you'd see a farmer called Chuck Latbar standing next to the door of his farm. He doesn't look exactly happy. When you talk to him, he tells you about the problems all the local farmers encounter because of Kobolds, a little humanoid creatures, who became extremely multiple these days.
Since you've heard quite a lot about this menace during the last days, you decide to do something to solve this problem. Chuck asked you to kill 25 Kobolds in order to scare the others and to bring him their heads as a proof.

It doesn't seem to be a problem to you, so you just cross the bridge across Torreya Brook and kill a necessary amount of the nasty little creatures. You gather your 'proof' and return to Chuck. What is he going to do with all these heads? But at least he pays you for the work. Though he seems to be worried anyway.

Part two: Save Damsels
Since you are interested in what work Chuck has to offer, you talk to him again.

These Kobolds seem to go too far! How dare these little beasts to abduct damsels and children! They have to be punished for this misdeed. And maybe it would prevent your current employer from being devastated forever.
In order to find the abducted elves, you'd have to go to the small Kobold Camp that is located near the Happy Cow Farm and to ask the Kobold Chieftain some question. The map below shows the way to the Kobold Camp.

Looks like Chuck Latbar was right. There are really several elven women and children in the Kobold Camp. And the Chieftain stands right in the middle of it.

Though you may already want to hit this pointy-eared fellow, you decide that it'd be better to talk to him first. Let's see, what he has to say in excuse of what he did.

What a stubborn fellow! Doesn't he see that you're a stronger fighter? Let's show him then. A couple of punches would be enough to make him understand who's the boss here. A fight against him won't be a hard one for you, would it?

So that's the case then. That Chuck Latbar isn't such a respectable farmer as he seemed to be. Well, if he really is such a bad guy, he has to be punished. But anyway, you have to escort the ladies and children to the safe place first. And the nearest safe place is exactly the village of Sloeford. So let's make Chuck meet Mathilda and see what happens next.
- Don't worry about your escorts. All of them are immortal. So it's pretty safe to go to Sloeford by foot. If you don't like walking, you may also use the portal in this village to teleport there immediately.

Chuck Latbar was quite surprised to see the women and children again. Looks like he hoped that the Kobolds would kill them... and you too. And now when he sees that Kobolds didn't manage to do so, he becomes desperate and tries to kill you himself. What a fool!
Of course, Chuck Latbar wasn't a tough fighter. At least he wasn't a tough fighter compared to you. Now he would never fight or betray the others... Let's ask Mathilda what she thinks of it.

Mathilda is quite happy with the outcome. Now the children would inherit the farm, and the women would own it while their children growing up. Mathilda even pays you for what you've done for their sake.
