An item is any object that a player can store in their inventory, most items are different pieces of armor and weapons that can by equipped by your character, but there are also consumible items like Potions, Runes or Scrolls. Items can be obtained through loot from defeated enemies, purchased from merchants, found in chests (and other containers), or rewarded from quests.
Items come in different rarities, which affect their power and the bonuses they provide. You can distinguish them by the color in the item name.
- Common Items (White): Basic items with no special attributes.
- Magic Items (Blue): Items with one or more magical properties.
- Rare Items (Yellow): More powerful items with multiple attributes.
- Unique Items (Brown): Unlike other items, the name and bonuses these items grant are not random.
- Set Items (Green): They are similar to unique items, but they are part of a set. You get additional bonuses when multiple pieces of the same set are equipped.
An item's bonuses are also affected by the item's level and the difficulty you were playing on when you got the item. An item obtained on a higher difficulty will have better bonuses. An item obtained by defeating a higher level enemy will have a higher level and therefore better bonuses.
Some items are Quest Items, you find them while you are doing a quest and they are key elements to complete that quest, sometimes these items aren't added to your inventory, but to your Log Book
There are easter egg items that have no use and are not part of any quest, they are:
Some items can only be found disarming opponents.
There are also some items that look like Set Items but they aren't, these are called Fake Set Items
