Description

Scroll

Scrolls can be found throughout Ancaria. They are usually found on bookstands, but may also be in cabinets, chests or wooden chests. They provide interesting background to the history and culture of Ancaria, thereby imbueing Sacred with a more robust feel.

Some contain recipes, others historical or geographical details, still others data about enemies found throughout the land. None is essential to the game itself, neither in multi-player mode, nor in a single player campaign style game (Ancaria Campaign and Underworld Campaign).

Scrolls are read by right-clicking the mouse on them when they are in your backpack. They are transferred into your Log Book, where they can be read at your leisure. For a detailed list of the entries unlocked reading scrolls, check: Books.

There are 144 different scrolls that you can find in bookstands.

You can usually tell the scrolls apart by their names, but 28 of them are simply called "Scroll".

Bugs

The scroll called "Book of Monsters: Dryad: Amazons" does not display any text in the Log Book.

There are two scrolls (both called "Scroll") that contain exactly the same text, if you read both you will get a duplicate Log Book entry.
