You have decided today to visit Griffinborough's cemetery, in order to show your respect and pray for those ancient warriors who are buried in this city. In the middle of a prayer you almost get a heart attack when the Spirit of Atherton came out of his grave and started talking to you - actually, if your legs had not been paralyzed for a whole minute you would have been jumping over the Nor Plat Border Wall before he had finished speaking his second word.

After your brain recovers its blood supply, you listen what the Spirit of Atherton -a great ancient warrior wide known through whole Ancaria- has to tell you: in the name of all the mighty ancient warriors he asks you to find the Lost Lorebook of Atherton, which has been stolen by robbers, and take it to a reliable chronicler in Black Oaks.

After some investigation, you follow the trail of a gang of thieves who have been seen recently around Griffinborough. You locate them in a camp on the top of a hill west along the road to Dragonmaw Pass.
