[[Sockets]] are features available on some equipment, allowing for the insertion of special items into that equipment. They are shown as little boxes in the lower left corner of the item image in your inventory and on the description. Sockets are special equipment slots. They are displayed as little boxes in the lower left corner of the item window. Smiths and Dwarves with the Forge Lore skill can place items in those sockets. The following items can be placed into a socket slot:

Placing an item in a socket adds the placed item bonuses to the item to which said socket belongs. But there are four bonuses that the placed item can have that are increased by the socket:

  • Attack
  • Defense
  • Damage (any type)
  • Resistence (any type)
