This is a Weapon Damage Based Combat Art.
Modifications
|
|
Skills and Attributes
The following skills will affect this combat art:
- Tactics Lore - indirectly, it increases weapon damage and critical chance, thus making Callous Execution hit harder, also increases Life Leech damage from the Draw Life mod and allows modification points.
- Gruesome Inquisition Focus - reduces regeneration time and allows for higher level combat art without penalty, allows for modification points.
- Any weapon lore (such as Sword Weapons when the Inquisitor is wielding a sword) - will indirectly increase this combat art's execution speed, damage and chance to hit, and will allow the equippng of higher level weapons used to execute this combat art.
- Concentration - will lower this combat art's regeneration time.
- Combat Discipline will increase its Damage and reduce its regeneration time if this Combat Art is placed within a combo. This increase in Damage is direct; it increases the +xx% that the CA adds to base damage.
- Speed Lore - will increase its chance to hit indirectly by increasing a player's attack rating.
- Damage Lore - will improve the chance, duration, and strength of any secondary damage effects triggered by Callous Execution, based on the damage types on the equipped weapon (open wounds, weaken, etc.).
- Dual wield (See Usage Strategies)
The following attributes will affect this combat art:
- Strength will increase damage for melee weapons, and chance to hit
- Dexterity will increase damage for ranged weapons (and some melee weapons), and chance to hit
- Intelligence will increase damage for for magic staves
- Stamina will lower regeneration time
- Willpower will increase damage for Lightsabers (Community Patch Only)
Usage Strategies
- Overall a good attack for quickly taking down enemies with high HP (especially if the Bleed and Lacerate modifications are used).
- When using the skill Dual Wield, the Inquisitor will attack with both weapons when using Callous Execution (see Gallery below).
- Due to its inherently low regeneration time and fast attack animation, the Inquisitor can generally rely upon Callous Execution in almost any situation.
- Can also be used to utterly obliterate an opponent if the Inquisitor's HP is low and he has the buff Purifying Chastisement turned on.
Combo Recommendations
- Performs well in a combo following Ruthless Mutilation; after Ruthless Mutilation, the Inquisitor will attack any of the surviving enemies.
- Also performs well in a combo before or after Mortifying Pillory (especially if both use the modifications that effect the opponent's armor, defense and life).
- Combines surprisingly well in a combo following Inexorable Subjugation; this can help the Inquisitor quickly build up an army of ghosts.
- The Inquisitor can first use a combo consisting of Mortifying Pillory and Dislodged Spirit.
- This will significantly weaken an opponent (especially if Mortifying Pillory is modified to reduce the armor value of the opponent), as well as cause other enemies nearby to start attacking the opponent.
- Finally, the Inquisitor should use Callous Execution (or the previously mentioned combo that includes Ruthless Mutilation).
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Very high damage attack.
- Fast attack animation.
- Low regeneration time.
- Can be used from a distance with long ranged weapons.
- An attractive look when using swords and Dual wield.
Cons
- Can target only one opponent, regardless of modifications.
- The only exception to this rule is if an Inquisitor is using Dual Wield.
- The Inquisitor will hit a nearby second opponent if he kills his first opponent with the first weapon.
- As a weapon-based combat art, it has the potential to miss.
