Quick Walkthrough
- Kill the Racketeer Ringleader (only if you declined his offer).
- Go to Renik's house.
- Talk to the Gardener and accept or decline to bribe him.
Detailed Walkthrough
If you declined the Ringleader’s offer in the previous quest, he will attack you as soon as you receive this quest; kill him. If you accepted the Ringleader’s offer in the previous quest, he will run away as soon as you receive this quest.
Whatever happens to the Ringleader, you now need to head south and west back to the road out of Teardrop Hamlet. Renik’s house is the only house in this area; there is a paved path running off the main road to the west (only a very short distance) that leads to the house itself. Head through the gate and the quest will update.
You now need to talk to the Gardener. If you accepted the Ringleader’s offer, you need to decline the Gardener’s hint that he wants a bribe, otherwise your Sapless Potions quest will remain marked as failed. If you declined the Ringleader’s offer, you need to accept the Gardener’s hint that he wants a bribe, again, if you don’t, your Sapless Potions quest will be marked as failed.
You're looking for the Reverend? I'm sorry, he's not here and His Excellency does not like to be disturbed when he has retired. My memory isn't what it used to be or I would be able to tell you of a nice little lake where the rich like to spend their weekends... you understand?
Once you have accepted or declined the Gardener’s hint, you can talk to him again to receive the last quest in this chain, Renik's End.
Logbook Entry
Notes
- Bug: If you accepted the Ringleader’s offer then you will not actually receive this quest, however you will need to carry out the same steps in order to receive the final quest in the chain, Renik's End.
- Bug: All of the logbook text for this quest appears under the log entry for the first quest, Sapless Potions, if the Ringleader’s offer is accepted. Only the last part of the logbook text about the Gardener’s information appears under the log entry for the first quest, Sapless Potions, if the Ringleader’s offer is declined.
