In the Sacred 2 official patch 2.34, Christmas Island was introduced to the game. In the very next patch, (2.40), Christmas Island was converted to Northland, and the Christmas Quest replaced with the Northland Expedition. The map is still the same, but the holiday content was removed and replaced with the more serious and less silly Northland content.
With the Community Patch installed, Northland and Christmas Island exist simultaneously. The island contains the quests, enemies and NPC's of both quest lines, which can be run together or separately as desired.
