In the Northeast corner of Tyr Lysia, there's a rather large mine located just west of Bluestonbury. It continues west from the eastern entrance at the top of the mountain to a point just a bit south and east of where General Terus of the Undead Legion quest can be found.
The west entrance is also slightly west of Garghadok's Destiny. While the east entrance is on the other side of Garghadok's Destiny.
The name "Abandoned Mine" is a bit of a misnomer because it only appears on the eastern entrance and there are three quests that take place inside of the mine.

Quests & NPC's
- Amras: Quest giver for the Mine Blockade quest at the west entrance to the mine.
- Miner Grenwyn: Quest giver for the Haunted Mine chain quest just inside the east end of the mine.
- Miner's Widow: Quest giver for The Wedding Ringquest. She is located about 2/3rds of the way down the mountain, near Bluestonbury, as you exit the east end.
As you can see, there seems to be plenty of activity for a place that's allegedly abandoned.
Transportation
There are no nearby portals to either end of the mine. The only option to get there is to walk (or ride) to either entrance. The west entrance is located slightly south and east of General Terus' camp. Follow the eastern exit of his camp and head south. The eastern end can be found by going to the first bridge leading to Bluestonbury and heading almost due north on the mainland side of the bridge. Follow the rail tracks to the top of the mountain and you've arrived.
Enemies
There are ghosts, ghosts, earth elementals and ghosts located in the mine. Did I mention the ghosts? There is also one Poison Trap and one Cannon trap that can be found in the mine.

Notes
If you go into this mine from the eastern end, you can pick up both the Wedding Ring and the Haunted Mine quests and do those at the same time.
